FIND CENTER (SINGLE)
-
A return to the guitar signals a homecoming in a way for Six Missing. Deeply rooted in the meditative stylings of an Indian Raga, we are treated to a peaceful and relaxing sonic garden that is blossoming like flowers in spring. The softness and gentleness of the guitar flying around like a butterfly urges us to cease the mental chatter and just be present with ourselves. Feeling our breath moving in and out. Perfect for a morning coffee, journaling session, or meditation - this song aims to bring peace and healing.
Find Center" is a return to my roots—just me and a 1969 Gibson SG Standard, a guitar with a soul of its own. I found this beauty at Austin Vintage Guitars, and the moment I held it, I was transported. Its warm tones and effortless playability inspired this track, recorded in a single, unbroken, improvised take.
The melody felt less like something I created and more like something flowing through me, guided by the SG’s timeless voice. With a subtle, meditative drone from EHX’s Freeze pedal, "Find Center" invites deep reflection and peace. No overdubs, no frills—just the raw connection between musician, instrument, and something greater. I hope it becomes a space for your own moments of introspection.

Thank you to Hanna who encouraged both of these purchases on separate occasions after being fed up with my indecision. I love you.
